# Shape Tools

### Rectangle

To create a rectangle, go to the shape tool, select 'rectangle'. With this selected, go to your canvas and either simply click on it to place a default rectangle at that point, or click and drag to draw the rectangle out.

### Ellipse/ Circle

To create an ellipse, go to the shape tool, select 'Ellipse'. With this selected, go to your canvas and either simply click on it to place a default ellipse at that point, or click and drag to draw the ellipse out.
