# Groups

Grouping allow you to nest multiple layers into one group layer. There is no nesting limit for groups, which means you can have multiple nested groups be the children of another group.

[Ungroup layers](/editor/organising-layers/groups/ungroup-layers.md)
{% endcontent-ref %}

This is useful for:

* Cleaning up your file so it's easier to navigate
* Adding some behaviour to the layers in a group in a non-destructive way by adjusting the group properties and not directly affecting the individual layer properties. This means you can easily move a group of layers around, add some animations to the group and more.
