Your artboard has a few main properties too such as its size and the background color that can be adjusted.
To change the size of your artboard
Click out on the canvas.
Go to the the properties panel on the right.
Edit the 'File size' property as desired
To change the background color of your artboard:
In the BackToggle the 'eye' icon in
